FORMER York City Knights loanee Corey Johnson has joined Betfred Championship rivals Bradford Bulls for the 2022 season.
Johnson played seven times for the Knights during the 2021 campaign after arriving from Betfred Super League giants Leeds Rhinos in July.
The 21-year-old hooker played primarily as a makeshift half-back for James Ford’s side and featured in victories over Swinton Lions, Widnes Vikings, Whitehaven RLFC and Newcastle Thunder at the back end of the season.
But he will now feature for York’s play-offs rivals after a three-year partnership was agreed between Leeds Rhinos and Bradford Bulls.
The move sees two fellow Rhinos youngsters Jarrod O’Connor and Muizz Mustapha also heading to John Kear’s squad on loan next year.
Leeds Rhinos and Bradford Bulls will also face one another in a pre-season friendly at Odsal Stadium on Sunday, January 23 (3pm).
