YORK City Knights have revealed their squad numbers for the 2022 campaign.
Head coach James Ford has three half-backs to pick from in Brendan O’Hagan, Jamie Ellis and Liam Harris, who will wear numbers six, seven and 19, respectively.
Australian O’Hagan will be hoping for more game time next season after an injury-hit first campaign for the Knights and he will be competing for half-back spots with the two new recruits.
Full-back Matty Marsh, who has been with York since 2018, continues in the number one shirt.
There are three new wingers for 2022, with Joe Brown and Will Oakes taking numbers two and five. Olly Butterworth will wear the number 33 and Excel prod-uct AJ Towse – who made his Knights debut in the Challenge Cup against Wigan Warriors – moves up to 23.
Towse's fellow Excel products and Heworth juniors Toby Warren and Myles Harrison, who both impressed towards the end of 2021, also move up the squad number list, the former taking 21 and Harrison 22.
