BRETT DELANEY has been appointed as the new director of rugby at New Earswick All Blacks.

The former Leeds Rhinos forward was revealed to the new York City Knights assistant coach last week and now taken an additional backroom role with one of the city's amateur clubs.

Delaney said: “Speaking with Jack Stearman, the chairman, and having a few conversations, I truly believe I can have an impact on growing and expanding the New Earswick All Blacks.

"Community clubs are the heartbeat of the local area and with rugby league we can truly make a difference to the surrounding area.

"I can't wait to meet everyone and if you see me around please come and introduce yourself and say hello.

"I am really excited to become part of this journey that the club is taking.”

Stearman said: “It is amazing to have someone of Brett’s stature wanting to come to the club to help us improve and grow.

"We are in the process of putting together new ideas and strategies and Brett will add a whole wealth of experience to help develop these ideas and take NEAB forward.

"We are really excited that Brett is working with us and looking forward to what the future holds.”
