SINEAD PEACH has been named as the York City Knights Ladies Player of the Year for the 2021 season.

Peach was one of the several recruits that arrived at York under new director of rugby Lindsay Anfield, joining from Castleford.

The England international's form with the Knights saw her nominated for the Betfred Women's Super League Woman of Steel award last month.

The hooker has now been recognised at her club's own individual awards night.

Elsewhere, Savannah Andrade won the Supporters' Player of the Year gong, Olivia Wood was crowned Players' Player of the Year and Ellie Hendry took the Young Player of the Year title.

Grace Field's first try against Wigan in the Betfred Women's Challenge Cup won Try of the Year.
