YORK City Knights have signed centre Jack Logan from Leigh Centurions on a one-year deal.

The 26-year-old came through the Hull FC system, spending time with Doncaster and Toronto Wolfpack from the Airlie Birds before signing for Batley Bulldogs ahead of the 2021 campaign.

After spending the first three months of last season with Batley, Logan returned on loan to his boyhood club, scoring a try on his second debut for the club.

He then signed for Leigh in August, spending the remainder of the season with Centurions, who were relegated from Super League at the end of last term.

In total, Logan has scored 16 tries in 39 top-flight matches to date.

He adds to head coach James Ford’s centre options, joining recent recruits James Glover and Jacob Ogden in the three-quarters.

Ford said: “Jack brings more competition to our centre positions.

"He’s played plenty of Super League for Hull FC and we’re aiming at getting him back to those levels and beyond."
