CITY of York Hockey Club Men I won their second game on the bounce with a 5-2 victory over Yorkshire rivals Leeds II.

The Minster city outfit are eighth in Yorkshire & North East League premier division with the win, which followed a 4-0 victory at Durham University III the week before.

Tom Feasby struck a brace, with Charlie Borwell, Dan Ellwood and Richard Chandler adding as York look to be hitting their stride.

City rode a frantic start to lead 2-0 at the break, after which Leeds started well but could not capitalise on their attacks.

George Bradley-Consitt kept the York goal protected, and the outfield players built on this to add another three goals.

As York concentration dipped in the final 10 minutes, Leeds got a couple of deserved late goals.

York will look to continue their good form at Harrogate.

City of York II suffered their fifth division one Yorkshire defeat in a row, going down 2-1 at Sheffield University Bankers II.

City VII sit bottom of the table, with City VI seventh of the 12 teams.

In division one moor, City of York VIII had no game at the weekend while City of York IX lost 3-2 at home to Scarborough III.

Table-mates Acomb II had no game at the weekend. They sit third, five points behind joint-leaders City VIII.

City of York X won 5-1 at Slazengers in Men's Development north division. Cora Seth scored twice, with Zak Fraser, Rohan Korolkeiwicz and Ernest Wordsworth adding.

City of York Hockey Club Ladies I climbed to sixth in Yorkshire & North East League premier division after a 4-0 win at Stokesley.

Heather MacDonald gave City the ideal start after just a minute, before Amy Birch, Laura Horne and Lily Rowntree all added to seal a convincing win.

Charlotte Neal in the York goal was called on to stop some good efforts from Stokesley, who were largely limited to breakaway attack, and Birch made it two before the break.

Horne converted Lou Bessey's excellent ball into the 'D' and Rowntree's late effort put the gloss on it after York had had to repel a resurgent Stokesley.
