YORK City Knights are set to host Castleford Tigers in January as the club start to line up their pre-season friendlies.
The Knights have two friendlies in the diary so far, with the Super League club’s visit coming nine days after that of the rebranded Midlands Hurricanes.
Formerly known as Coventry Bears, the Midlands Hurricanes will visit the LNER Community Stadium on Friday, January 7 (7.30pm).
It will be Knights' fans first look at their new squad, which features former Bears loanees Sam Davis and Jacob Ogden.
Cas visit Monks Cross on Sunday, January 16 (3pm).
The two sides were due to meet in the last 16 of the 2020 Challenge Cup before the coronavirus pandemic intervened. With the stadium having its capacity cap lifted, the Knights are hopeful of seeing a bumper crowd for the fixture.
Tickets for Midlands Hurricanes cost £10 for adults and £5 for concessions. Cas tickets are £15 for adults and £10 for concessions. Under-16s go free to both games.
