SAM SCOTT has signed a one-year deal with Betfred Championship rivals Bradford Bulls following his departure from York City Knights.
Scott ended his five-season association with York, across two spells, at the end of the 2021 season.
The 31-year-old had been a key part of James Ford's side which won the Betfred League One title in 2018 and a placed third in the Championship the following year.
The back-rower now heads to Bradford, who finished fifth last year before losing to Batley Bulldogs in the play-offs.
Explaining his move, Scott said: "I spent a lot of time at York and loved every minute but felt it was time for a change, to come out of my comfort zone for a new challenge and Bradford was top of my list when I found out they were interested.
“They were always great games between York and Bradford, two big clubs with good fan bases, always a good atmosphere and the players did it justice each time it never disappointed."
