YORK & District Schoolboys Under-15s used a free period from league action to complete an 8-2 friendly rout over Scarborough Athletic.

York were ahead minutes into the contest, with Dom Weston turning in a corner from Seb Holowkiewicz.

Holowkiewicz doubled the lead from the penalty spot after Weston was felled in the box.

And it 3-0 before half time as Enzo Nunnari nodded home a Weston delivery.

Based on their first-half efforts, Scarborough deservedly reduced the deficit after the break.

York were soon back in the goals when Weston and Lewis Marshall combined for the latter to score.

Weston completed his hat-trick through a low drive and a towering header, with Ben Garbutt Smith scoring in-between.

Nunnari capped off York’s win by bagging the team’s eighth goal, though Scarborough replied with a late penalty.
