YORK City Knights prop forward Jack Teanby has been called up to Scotland's extended squad ahead of next month's international against Jamaica.
Scotland will face Jamaica for the first time at Featherstone's Millennium Stadium on Sunday, October 24 (3pm) as part of the series of internationals taking place this autumn.
The Bravehearts head coach Nathan Graham has named a 33-man squad, which will be trimmed to 20 for a four-day training camp which will meet in Dewsbury.
For Teanby, the call-up is the first of his career having been a regular in York's forward pack since joining in 2019.
"I’m looking for the young guys to be really competitive in training and push themselves with a view to being in the twenty," said Graham.
"Jamaica are in the same place as we are in terms of fixtures being few and far between recently and I’m sure they will be wanting to get a result out of their games this autumn.
"It’s going to be a good test for our guys and I know they will be looking forward to the challenge."
