HEWORTH ARLC have withdrawn from the National Conference League Shield.
The Villagers, who won Group 'G' during the regular season, have cited a high number of injuries and lack of availability.
Their scheduled home game with Dewsbury Moor Maroons tomorrow has been cancelled.
It is an unfortunate end to the competition for division three outfit Heworth, who defied the odds to win their group and then came close to causing an upset in the play-offs against premier division side Lock Lane.
