YORK City’s home game against Hereford has been rearranged.

The Minstermen will welcome the Bulls the LNER Community Stadium next Tuesday for a 7.45pm kick off.

Tickets bought for the postponed fixture will be valid for this game.

Hereford were due to make the trip to York on September 11 but positive Covid tests in their camp forced the National League North fixture’s postponement.

The player who returned positive results from his lateral flow test ahead of the York game, plus three who reported Covid-like symptoms, went for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests the day before the game was due to go ahead.

These all came back negative and Hereford were cleared to play in the FA Cup second round qualifying at the weekend. They drew 2-2 at Step 4 side Lymington Town.

Hereford hosted the replay last night.
