THE motion of no confidence in York City Football Club's board has been passed by an overwhelming 91 per cent of votes.

York City Supporters' Trust - who hosted the vote after receiving a request to do so by its members - must now issue a statement of no confidence in the club's board and that of the club's subsidiary companies.

A total of 309 votes were cast, with 282 in favour and 27 against.

Hosted at Burton Stone Lane WMC next to the Bootham Crescent, around 50 Trust members were in attendance.

They heard opening remarks from Ian Savage, club board member Steven Kilmartin answer questions from the floor, and a closing statement from Trust chairman Mike Brown.
