YORK City Knights scholarship graduate Alex Foster has announced that he will leave Betfred Super League giants Castleford Tigers at the end of the season.

Foster is one of five players to announce that they will leave Castleford when the 2021 campaign ends, with head coach Daryl Powell also departing to join Warrington Wolves.

The forward joined the Tigers in 2017 and has been part of sides which have reached the Challenge Cup final and Super League Grand Final, as well as winning the League Leaders' Shield in his debut year.

"Playing for this club has meant everything," he said. "From the moment I came here to now, it has been incredible.

"What I have accomplished in the time I have had here, I never thought I would.

"I thought I would never play Super League again after leaving Leeds in the early part of my career. The opportunity that this club has given me has been incredible.

"It has been one hell of a journey and I am so thankful to everyone involved."
