YORK City are unlikely to be able to stream most 3pm kick offs this coming season after the reintroduction of 'blocked hours' for clubs in the National League System.

Blocked hours are between the hours of 2.45pm and 5.15pm on Saturdays, when it is prohibited to broadcast any form of live football.

These restrictions were lifted for the 2020/21 season across the board to allow fans to watch 3pm fixtures played behind-closed-doors, as necessitated by Covid-safety measures.

But for next season, sides competing in the NLS - which covers Steps 1 to 6 - have been told they will no longer be able to broadcast matches played during these hours within certain blocks of dates.

Dates during which blocked hours are enforced for next season are August 7 to August 28; September 11 to October 2; October 16 to November 6; November 20 to December 18; January 1; January 15 to March 19; and April 2 to May 7.
