MIKEY LEWIS has been recalled for the second time from his loan at York City Knights, with his parent club struggling with injuries.

Hull Kingston Rovers have lost both half-back Jordan Abdull and full-back Adam Quinlan to injury so head coach Tony Smith has looked to bolster his side's ranks by bringing back five loanees.

Lewis, pictured (Craig Hawkhead), featured four times for York during a one-month loan period before being recalled in May.

He rejoined the Knights in the middle of last month ahead of the 1895 Cup final at Wembley, where he played a starring role in the halves, setting up Ben Jones-Bishop for a try in the first half and touching down himself in the second.

York are not the only team to lose out. Championship rivals Featherstone Rovers will lose Will Dagger while Bradford Bulls bid farewell to Joe Keyes, who also spent time at York this season. Will Tate and Tom Whur head back to Humberside from League One outfit Rochdale Hornets.

Jimmy Keinhorst's loan to Castleford concludes on Friday.
