YORK City Knights ended their long wait for a victory in the Betfred Championship by comfortably dispatching Swinton Lions 46-10 at the LNER Community Stadium.
York were on a run of six straight league defeats heading into the game and languishing above the relegation zone but finally got back to winning ways in an eight-try win.
The win rarely looked in doubt after a rapid start that saw three tries in the first 10 minutes.
Swinton fought back after half-time but four unanswered tries followed thereafter as York cruised home.
