HUNTERS York & District Senior Cricket League division one west continues to be dogged by cancellations - but there was no shortage of drama in the three games that did take place.

Tom Collins (142) and Henry Baston (158) shared an opening partnership of 283 as Carlton Towers extended their unbeaten to six matches after they posted 383-7 against Osbaldwick.

The visitors refused to give in and battled to secure a share of the points despite Collins taking 5-37. James Hattee scored 53.

Easingwold beat Knaresborough in a thrilling contest at Aspin Lane to take over from them at the top of the table. Jack Redshaw scored a match-winning 93 not out to clinch a crucial win with just three balls remaining.

Zak Wilson scored a run-a-ball 44 after the visitors found themselves 106-4 chasing an unlikely 260.

Earlier in the day, the hosts' second-wicket pair of Greg Pickles (60) and Kevin Owens (69) put on 115. The runs continued to flow thanks to David Girling (30) and Andy Ward (36) as they eventually closed on 259-7.

Heworth are hopeful of avoiding the drop after a first home win of the season, beating Clifton Alliance by 75 runs. Chris Klays (79) and Guy Wilkinson (73) helped the home side build a formidable total of 263-9 before Jack Wilkinson took three wickets in three overs to help close down the visitors' reply.

Captain Nicholas Hindle (33) and teenagers Jack Mead (30) and Joseph Hall (50) made strong contributions for Alliance, who lost their final wicket on the last ball.

Bridlington came out on top of the drawn clash against division one east title rivals Driffield Town as Sam (126 not out) and Mark Tennant (104) both made centuries for their respective sides.

Hull Zingari ended Pocklington’s five -match unbeaten run with a six-wicket home win.

James Dunning picked up four wickets, including top scorer Howard Johnson (37), as the visitors were bowled out for 158.

Sutton-on-Hull picked up a much-needed win, beating Woodhouse Grange by eight wickets in a low-scoring game at Sandhill Lane.

The hosts’ opener Roberts Draper (28) top scored for the home side, who were bowled out for 136, Rob Gainer (3-37) and Rhys Martin (4-35) doing most of the damage before last wicket pair of Alex Bindloss (18) and Archie Wilcock (13no) put on 38 to give the total an air of respectability.

The visitors' opening pair Benjamin Graham (39no) and Jonny Hambley (21) put on 81 to set up a win which was sealed with Graham and skipper Gainer (27no) at the crease.

Cottingham went second following an eight-wicket home win over an in-form Scarborough.

Londesborough Park pulled off a surprise one-wicket victory at home to Patrington.
