YORK City Knights Ladies have been selected as one of the five teams that will compete for a place in the Betfred Women's Super League (BWSL) Grand Final.
The RFL decided to bring forward the scheduled mid-season break in the competition before returning as planned with a two-tier format from August 8.
BWSL clubs unanimously agreed to cancel this weekend's final round of phase one fixtures to allow for an immediate 'circuit break' amid a rise in positive coronavirus tests and self-isolations.
York are among the five which will battle it out for a spot in the Grand Final at Emerald Headingley on Sunday, October 10.
Leeds Rhinos, St Helens, Wigan Warriors and Castleford Tigers are the other sides in the five.
The fixture list for the competition and broadcast/streaming arrangements will be announced in due course.
