YORK City Knights star Will Jubb will be among those speaking at the Sportsperson’s Dinner which will raise funds for the Wilberforce Trust charity in September.

York hooker Jubb will be speaking at the event alongside Team GB paralympian goalball player Antonia Bunyan and drag racer Nigel Limb at the LNER Community Stadium on Friday, September 17 (7.30pm).

The event will support Club Wilber, the children's arm of the Wilberforce Trust. The charity provides support to people with visual and hearing impairments.

Despite having to have his right eye removed at the age of two, Jubb has become a successful rugby league player with hometown club Hull Kingston Rovers and the Knights.

Club Wilber ambassador Jubb said: "Hopefully it will be a great night and people will come down and support Club Wilber, who are brilliant charity that do some amazing work."

Tickets are priced at £50 per person and includes an arrival drink, a three-course meal and half a bottle of wine. The dress code is smart attire.
