TADCASTER Albion have brought in three new signings ahead of the start of the competitive season.

Tadcaster have signed versatile defender Kesi Omolokun, attacking midfielder Oliver Norman and centre back Kieran Burton as they continue to build their square before the Northern Premier League east campaign begins next month.

Omolokun was on the books at Bradford City and, after a loan spell at Scarborough Athletic, he joined Aberdeen in 2016 and featured for their development squad.

Capable of featuring anywhere in the back four, Omolokun fell out of love with the game and has recently played for local clubs Eccleshill United and Albion Sports.

The defender has proven his fitness and played in all of Tadcaster's pre-season matches to date.

Tadcaster manager Paul Quinn said: “Kesi has an excellent background having been with Bradford City and Aberdeen.

"He is keen to get back playing regular football and has also stated he wants to enjoy the game again, which is really important.

"I am excited to see how he can contribute to the club in the coming season."

Omolokun added: “Being with the other lads at training and pre-season games has reawakened my love for the game and I cannot wait to get going again.

"I have discussed with Paul Quinn, the ambitions of the club and tactical issues and it is exactly what I need. There are some sound people at Tadcaster and I could not be happier."

Leeds-born Norman began his career with the Leeds United academy before making the move to Bradford City.

He was an integral player for Bradford's under-18s last season and will be looking to kick start his professional career with Tadcaster after being released by the Bantams.

"Oliver has recently left Bradford City and we have been very impressed with his application and technical ability," Quinn said of the 18-year-old.

"It’s early days for Oli at senior level but it’s up to him to work hard and to keep impressing in pre-season and beyond."

Norman commented: “Signing for Tadcaster means a lot to me and I hope I can make a solid contribution to their success this coming season.

"It is a great club to be with at this stage of my career and I am hoping to develop my game further with such good players around me.”

Burton, also 18, was born in York and is formerly of Tadcaster Magnets, Selby Town and Knaresborough Town. He has spent the last two years with Barnsley's U19s side.

“Kieran attended our open trial in June," explained Quinn.

"We have been impressed with him since the trial, so much so we have involved him quickly with the first team squad and he has taken his opportunity."

Burton added: “Signing for Tadcaster is important to me. It's my local club and it will be great playing in the area in which I grew up.

"I'm grateful for the opportunity and look forward to repaying their faith in my ability."

Elsewhere, Tadcaster sealed their first win of pre-season with a 1-0 victory over Emley AFC. Tom Evans scored the only goal of the game on 75 minutes for the Brewers.

Tadcaster host National League North's Spennymoor Town on Saturday.
