YORK City Knights' 1895 Cup final against Featherstone Rovers (12pm) on Saturday, July 17 at Wembley Stadium will be shown live by the BBC on the red button and iPlayer.

York will compete at Wembley for the first time in 90 years, having last played at the national stadium in the 1931 Challenge Cup final against Halifax.

The 1895 Cup final between the two Betfred Champion-ship will act as a curtain raiser to the Betfred Challenge Cup final between Castleford Tigers and St Helens (3pm), with live coverage beginning from 2pm.

Elsewhere, the Rugby Football League (RFL) have confirmed that there will be no golden point extra time in the 1895 Cup final due to the tight turnaround time between the two matches

Should the match finish level at the end of the 80 minutes, the trophy will be shared by York and Featherstone.

As in the 2019 1895 Cup final between Widnes Vikings and Sheffield Eagles, there will be no video referee for the final, with match official appointments for the game to be confirmed early next week.
