THE LNER Community Stadium will host a York City Knights double-header next month when both men's and ladies' teams take to the field.
Fans will be able to attend on Sunday, July 4, when head coach James Ford's men take on Newcastle Thunder in the Betfred Championship at 3pm.
At 5.15pm, the Knights Ladies will kick off against Yorkshire rivals Bradford Bulls, with Lindsay Anfield’s team looking to push into the top four of Women's Super League before the competition splits.
Chairman Jon Flatman said: “It creates a longer and more worth-while event for the fans while also giving those who have never seen the women’s game in person a great chance to see it live at no extra cost.
“We are looking to integrate the ladies team into everything the club does and, naturally, double-headers are a great way to do that.”
Tickets can be bought in person from the ground, by phoning 01904942232, emailing tickets@yorksmc.co.uk or from yorkcityknights.com/tickets.
Adult tickets cost £20, concessions £15 and under-16s go free.
