SUPPORTERS who donated their 2020 season ticket money back to York City Knights will be commemorated on the playing shirts for the club's trip to Wembley.
The 'Patrons' scheme was set up in the midst of last year's pandemic, which forced the cancellation of the season after just a handful of games.
Fans who had bought a season ticket for 2020 but elected not to receive a refund or a deduction from their 2021 pass became Patrons of the club and had their names emblazoned on the back of the Knights' warm-up shirts.
Those names will now feature on the field of play for the Knights' 1895 Cup final against Featherstone Rovers on July 17 - the club's first trip to Wembley since 1931.
Shirts can be pre-ordered from the Knights' online club shop and will be dispatched from July 1.
