TADCASTER Albion chairman Andy Charlesworth has expressed his delight that Leeds United Women will be playing at Ings Lane next season.

Leeds host all of their home games at the Brewers' Global Stadium next season, which kicks off on August 15.

Fixtures normally fall on Sunday afternoons. The fixtures for this coming season have yet to be announced.

Taddy's home has previously played host to Leeds Under-23s fixtures, which have tended to draw a reasonable crowd and attract more attention to the Brewers.

As well as being able to offer the Whites a home, Charlesworth is also happy about the potential for wider publicity for Tadcaster.

Charlesworth said: “It’s great to have Leeds United Women playing at the Global Stadium for the forthcoming season, especially after the disappointment of the previous campaign, which was cancelled early on due to Covid.

"With all their games being streamed on LUTV this will be a wonderful advertisement for the Brewers whilst strengthening the link between Taddy and Leeds United.

"Hopefully, it will attract local support from the town and our supporters too."

Leeds Women general manager Julie Lewis added: "We are delighted to be playing all of our home games at the Global Stadium.

"It is a fantastic facility and we have had a very warm welcome from all involved at Tadcaster Albion."

Leeds play in the FA Women’s National League division one north along with Alnwick Town, Barnsley, Bolton, Bradford City, Chorley, Durham Cestria, FC United of Manchester, Liverpool Feds, Newcastle United, Norton & Stockton, and Stockport County.
