YORK City Knights have confirmed that they will host Swinton Lions on Sunday, June 6 (2pm kick-off) in the semi-finals of the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup.
York will face their Betfred Championship rivals for a place in the final at Wembley, where they could play either Featherstone Rovers or Widnes Vikings, who play at 4pm on the same day.
The game will go to golden point extra time if either game is level at 80 minutes.
The Knights have said that tickets for the game will go on sale "shortly" and will release details on this once they have received further information from the stadium management company.
For those unable to get tickets, the RFL have announced that both the semi-finals will be shown for free through its Our League service.
Mark Foster, the RFL’s chief commercial officer, said: “It’s great that fans will be able to attend these mouthwatering matches, and also that we can show the semi-finals free on Our League to a wider audience, as we did in the inaugural competition in 2019."
