YORK City have announced two more pre-season friendlies for the 2021/21 season.

York will travel to the Towbar Express Stadium to face Whitby Town on Saturday, July 10.

The kick-off time for the match has yet to be announced.

Steve Watson's side then travel return to the LNER Community Stadium to face Premier League side Newcastle United on Sunday, July 18 (2pm), as announced last week.

That clash is set to be the first time that City will be able to host fans at their new ground since the highly anticipated stadium move back in February.

The Minstermen then host Championship outfit Middlesbrough at the Monks Cross ground on Tuesday, July 27 (7pm).

"Further fixtures and ticketing information will be released shortly," York City said in a club statement.

The friendlies come in preparation for the start of the Vanarama National League North season which is set to get underway from Saturday, August 14, with York again targeting promotion after the cancellation of the 2020/21 campaign.
