YORK RI RUFC is launching its free summer touch rugby union sessions from Thursday, May 13.
Training sessions will cover the basics of the sport and aim to build confidence in a contact-free and friendly environment.
Home to men's, ladies', mixed ability and inclusive rugby union teams, the club prides itself on its inclusive ethos and aims to attract new members from a range of backgrounds and abilities.
The club is reaching out to prospective touch rugby players of all gender identities, ability or knowledge of the game.
Chairman Andy McCarthy said: “Touch rugby is a great sport to take advantage of long summer evenings.
"This format of rugby allows players with any level of experience to play socially, learn new skills and keep fit.
"If anyone has been thinking about giving rugby a go or getting back into the sport, this is the perfect opportunity."
Training sessions will take place through the summer on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm at New Lane, YO24 4NX.
Anyone interested should message the club through their Facebook page or email rugby.yorkri@gmail.com.
