HAXBY Town and Hambleton played out an entertaining 3-3 draw as the group stages of the Fastpack Ltd York Sunday Morning League Senior Challenge Trophy were wrapped up.
Dan Clipston (2) and Tom Kilvington found the target for Haxby in one of just two Sunday League games played.
Their efforts were in vain as their team could not find the much-needed fourth goal to progress in the competition despite a couple of late chances.
The result means that Hambleton will travel to Wigginton Grasshoppers for the semi-final of the competition next weekend.
Meanwhile, the other semi-final was played out with Group 'B' winners Thorpe United Reds meeting Group 'A' runners-up Bishopthorpe CFC.
After a closely fought encounter, Thorpe were victorious 2-1, securing their place in the final of the competition.
The trophy is to be decided on Sunday, May 16.
