THORPE United Red made it two wins out of two in group 'B' of the Fastpack Ltd York Sunday Morning League Senior Challenge Trophy with a 4-2 defeat of Hounds.

The visitors stormed into a 4-0 half-time lead thanks to efforts from James Arnold (2), George Fillingham and Denton Snowden.

Hounds mounted a sustained challenge in the second period but only managed to halve the deficit with goals from Nathan Parker and Ieuan Williams.

Wigginton Grasshoppers also sit on six points in group 'A' following a 9-2 triumph at Malt Shovel.

Hoppers' charge was led by a hat-trick from James Edmond, with Cameron Mulhearn (2), George Brown, Kain Rogerson, Harry Clapham and Liam Robertson also bagging.

Other games in the competition were postponed due to teams in county cup action.

In group 'A' of the Junior Challenge Trophy, K-Town enhanced their record to four points out of six with a 1-0 win over York Medics. Jack Houldsworth struck the only goal of the game in the first half.

Thorpe United Blue drew 1-1 with Rawcliffe thanks to a goal in the opening period from Lucas Matthewman. Casey Barker equalised for Rawcliffe eight minutes from the final whistle.

Walnut Tree made it two wins from two in group 'B' with a 6-0 thumping of Pollington Predators. Jason McCloud (2), Rob Forrester, Mariusz Bratkowski, Patryk Zimmer and Connor Watson all made the score sheet.

Burton Leonard got their first points on the board, defeating FC Pollington 4-2.

In group 'C', Clock House mirrored last week's 5-3 win at Selby Olympia with exactly the same result at Wills Bar.

Olympia scored a goal in each half to defeat FC Dracula 2-1. Iancu Vasile netted Dracula's consolation.
