TOULOUSE OLYMPIQUE are the bookmakers’ favourites to win promotion from the Betfred Championship in 2021 ahead of the league season’s start tomorrow.
Toulouse, who begin their season with a trip to the LNER Community Stadium against York City Knights on Saturday (4.30pm), are priced at 6/4 by Paddy Power, at the time of writing.
The French side are only of only two full-time clubs in the Championship and have added Super League talents Mitch Garbutt (pictured), Remi Casty and Ben Reynolds to their squad over the off-season.
Featherstone Rovers are close behind at 6/4, having already beaten Bradford Bulls and Batley Bulldogs in the Challenge Cup this year.
London Broncos (6/1), York City Knights (8/1) and Widnes Vikings (10/1) are expected to among the chasing pack.
Below those five clubs, Bradford Bulls (12/1) and Halifax Panthers (20/1) may be left to fight it out for the final play-off place.
Championship newcomers Newcastle Thunder are priced at 50/1 while Sheffield Eagles, Oldham, Dewsbury Rams and Batley Bulldogs are all as wide as 125/1.
Whitehaven and Swinton Lions are priced even wider at 150/1.
