STRENSALL & Towthorpe Lawn Tennis Club has announced new, low membership prices for the 2021/22 season to help boost participation.

Following the relaxation of Covid restrictions in line with the Government’s roadmap, the club is encouraging people to make the most of tennis as a newly permitted-again outdoor activity.

The club’s prices start at £35 for the season for juniors, with adult prices set at £65, students £45, and household membership (including support bubble) available at £90.

Sheriff Hutton offers the next cheapest family membership in the York area, at £110.

“Strensall offers attractive memberships to help everyone get back into playing,” a spokesman said.

“The club welcomes all ages and abilities with regular club and social nights during the season, including the opportunity for competitive tennis in the Tyke Petroleum York Men’s Tennis League, where the club enters two teams.”

The community club is based in Durlston Drive, Strensall, and boasts three outdoor floodlit courts with a private clubhouse, changing facilities and parking.

Memberships can be pur-chased at clubspark.lta.org.uk/strensallandtowthorpeltc/Membership/Join and spread over a four-month direct debit.
