THE York City Knights Foundation have launched the ‘Monday Memories Club’ to allow fans to come together and reminisce.

The initiative takes places through a series of weekly online sessions, which will be begin from Monday and continue until February 22.

The Foundation will work with Looking Back-CIC and the City of York Council and hope to make the meetings face-to-face on a weekly basis, once lockdown restrictions are eased.

“In the first few weeks there will be themed sessions with people asked to submit their favourite images, players, games, moments and memories,” said a Knights statement.

“Some of the imagery supplied will be used in a fans vote to choose the graphics that will be installed in the concourse areas of the LNER Community Stadium and in the Jim Bone room.

“Sessions will run from 10.30am to 12 noon with limited places on each session.”

This Monday’s session will allow fans to discuss their favourite York players while supporters are asked to share their memories of 1868 to 1970 and 1971 to 2020 in the February 8 and February 15 sessions respectively.

Community clubs past and present will be the subject of the February 22 session.
