YORK City have rescheduled their Vanarama National League North home game against Bradford (Park Avenue), which will now be played on Tuesday, February 2 (7.45pm).

York were set to host Park Avenue on January 2 at Bootham Crescent, but the referee deemed the pitch unplayable given the snowy weather and sub-zero temperatures at the ground.

The rearranged fixture will now take place at the LNER Community Stadium, in what is scheduled to be the third match at the ground, should the Minstermen face Gateshead as planned on January 19.

Steve Watson’s side will be hopeful of inflicting revenge on their Yorkshire counterparts having been beaten 4-2 at the Horsfall Stadium on Boxing Day.

The defeat was York’s second of the league season and was the first time they have conceded four or more goals in an away game since being thrashed 5-1 at Darlington in 2018 under former manager Sam Collins.

York have yet to announce the rearranged dates for the trip to Boston United and home games with AFC Fylde and Gloucester City.
