HEWORTH ARLFC presented a cheque of almost £4,000 to York Teaching Hospital from money raised through the sales of their 'Thank You NHS' kits.
Freddie Wilson, an Under-13s player at the amateur rugby league club, produced the winning kit design from the competition which ran earlier this summer.
The club then put the kits on sale to great success. In total, £3,820 was raised from the sale of 382 shirts, with £10 from each sale going to the NHS.
York Teaching Hospital expressed their delight at the money being donated locally.
