HESLERTON Under-14s suffered a 4-1 defeat to West Pier Warriors in their second Scarborough & District Minor League outing of term.
It was a tale of missed and taken chances as Pier caught Hessey sleeping and went three up before Myles Johnson slotted home with the break approaching.
Pier added a fourth midway through the second half.
Heslerton’s man-of-the-match was striker Johnson for his constant work-rate.
Heslerton U13s won 5-0 at Thornton Dale in the Minor League.
Shaun Isaac and Will Mackley gave the Blues a two-goal cushion at the break.
A 25-yard drive from Kenzie Palliser opened the second-half scoring, with new signing Tom Eblet grabbing his first for the club and Mackley netting a second from
close range.
Hard-working midfielder Jack Boyes was the man of the match.
Heslerton U12 Heroes travelled to face Scholes Park Spartans and produced an outstanding team performance in a well-deserved result.
The goals came from Charlie Driver, Aaron Cook, Archie Pilmoor and Louie Spencer while player-of-the-match Oscar Troop had a fantastic performance in goal and made a marvellous save.
Heslerton U9 Hurricanes had their work cut out at West Pier, who took the lead from the penalty spot.
Some great saves from Theo Watson, Harry Dalby and William Marrington could not save the Hurricanes.
The man-of-the-match award went to the tireless Chester Driver.
