POCKLINGTON Town have made a flying start to this York Minster Engineering League division one season by beating Harrison’s Signs 6-0.

Tom Knowles (2), James Saltmer, James Rudd, Connor Mathie and Steve Mouncer all found the target.

Brad Hall, James Butcher and Jack Morris netted for Malt Shovel in a 4-1 success at home to Osbaldwick, who gained a last-minute penalty consolation.

Tockwith sit third following their 4-1 defeat of Stamford Bridge. Mario Campagna (2) and Will Balcombe struck in open play with Henry Gardner adding the fourth from the spot. Jamie Walker hit Stamford’s lone reply.

Hat-trick hero Tom Kilvington stole the show at Haxby Town in their 5-3 triumph over Bishopthorpe. Dan Clipston and Simon Sturdy struck the other Haxby goals.

Harry Free’s last-minute goal salvaged a 1-1 draw for Riccall United at home to Brooklyn, who had led through Simon Reeves.

Division two leaders Wombleton Wanderers beat Heslington 6-0.

Sean Stockdale (2), James Smith and Liam Parkinson fired The Beagle to a 4-1 win over Rufforth United.

Sam Greaves and Will Gardiner scored in a 3-2 defeat for Wheldrake at Clifford.

Bubwith beat Pollington 3-1.

Barmby Moor thumped Crayke United 7-2 in division three.

Walnut Tree and Wilberfoss recorded 4-1 wins over Church Fenton and York St John respectively. Sam Gibney and Adam Webster both bagged braces for Wilberfoss.

Goals from Ryan Peate and Jack Wilson earned Garforth a 2-0 win over Copmanthorpe.

Liam Dawson, Sean Walker and David Wilkinson struck for Duncombe Park in their 3-3 draw with Fulford.

Howden AFC got off to a flying start in division four, defeating Selby Olympia 9-0. Sam Schofield (2), Rich Hutchinson (2), Robbie Tomlinson, Damian McMahon, Ellis Eastwood, Sam Milner and Alex Haines all made the score sheet.

Callum Marshall (2) and Callan Blackstock fired home the Marton Abbey goals at LNER Builders, but a well-taken hat-trick from Ash Macpherson earned the builders a point from a 3-3 share-all.

Dan Middleton was at the double for South Milford at Kellingley Welfare. An own goal and a Dan Withington strike saw South Milford run out 4-0 winners.

Sporting Knavesmire defeated Thirsk Falcons’ Development side by 3-2. Ben Laycock hit a brace for Thirsk.

Jai Wilson netted for York RI at home to Elvington but it proved little more than a consolation as the away side cruised to a 4-1 success.

The only game in reserve ‘A’ saw Wigginton Grasshoppers defeat Thorpe United 4-1. James Sutton (2), Cameron Burdass and Jacob Harrison-Green bagged the goals for the home side.

Johnny Cooper and Shane Bogg found the net for Strensall Tigers in their 2-1 reserve ‘B’ victory over Stamford Bridge. Hemingbrough United defeated Bishopthorpe 1-0 in the division’s other game.

Calvin Steele hit a hat-trick for Garforth LG as they defeated Harrison Signs 4-0 in reserve ‘C’. Carl Massingham completed the scoring.

Riccall United beat Fulford by the same scoreline. Jamie Bray (2), Hedley Benn-Harris and Patrick Conlon found the target.
