IN the latest edition of our look back through the archives, here are five bowling pictures from the past.

Do you recognise yourself or anyone you know?

There were record entries and record crowds at the annual Regalgrene Pairs Short Mat Bowling Tournament held at St Alban’s Centre, Ampleforth College.

The winning pair, who were awarded the Regalgrene Perpetual Trophy as well as £40 prize money, were Mr and Mrs R North of Welburn Bowling Club, pictured receiving their prizes from Jim Rose in 1989.

Runners-up and winners of £20 were Jim and Jack Campbell of Pickering Bowling Club and highest place Ampleforth pair were Ian and Eleanor McEvoy who received the Studford Venison Trophy.
