FORMER York City Knights star Connor Robinson has signed a two-year deal at Halifax.

The 25-year-old half-back returns to the Shay after three years with the Knights, having first signed for Fax midway through the 2015 season.

Over 78 appearances for York, Robinson notched 23 tries, 10 drop goals and 362 goals. He was named the Betfred League One Player of the Year for his hand in the title-winning 2018 campaign.

Robinson told Fax’s website: “I am excited to be coming back to Fax. I feel that I left without fulfilling my potential before. When my agent mentioned of the interest, it felt like an opportunity to come back and right those wrongs from last time.

“I have had a great time at York. We had some memorable years, but the opportunity to go back and play at Halifax was too good to turn down.

"After speaking to Grixy and Ian Croad, it was a no-brainer to come back and be a part of the family - 2021 cannot come quick enough and I will do everything I can to push Fax to promotion to Super League.”
