JIMMY KEINHORST has returned to parent club Hull Kingston Rovers from his loan spell at York City Knights.

Keinhorst joined the Knights on a season-long loan back in November and the centre scored tries against London Broncos and Halifax during his five appearances for the club.

The coronavirus pandemic would later see the 2020 Betfred Championship season cancelled, with the Knights later opting not to take part in the RFL's proposed Autumn competition.

Keinhorst now returns to Hull KR for the reminder of this season, with Tony Smith's side currently bottom of the Betfred Super League table.

The Knights said on Twitter: "Good luck to Jimmy Keinhorst, who has returned to parent club Hull KR for the remainder of the 2020 season. Go well Jimmy!"

The Germany international played 25 times for the Robins in the 2019 season, scoring seven tries.
