YORK City have released their Fan Survey, with supporters able to cast their Clubman of the Year votes as well as providing feedback about the club.

The questions on the survey range from a variety of issues, including socially distanced seating arrangements, a process which may clubs are likely to have to adopt when mass gatherings are permitted to begin again following the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Fans can also have their say on matters such as the matchday experience, purchasing tickets and the LNER Community Stadium as well.

A statement released by the club read: "York City Football Club is asking fans to help them navigate the forthcoming season by way of a Fan Survey.

"The survey, which takes less than five minutes to complete, will give fans the opportunity to feedback on a host of club processes and plans, while providing the club with important insight into their fan base.

"From match day processes, to club events and a vote for clubman of the year, the club is engaging with fans and asking for their input."

York City general manager Dave Penney added: “The Covid-19 pandemic has changed football in many ways and it’s unclear when the game as we knew it will return.

"As a result, we are looking at our processes and operations to adapt to the new climate we find ourselves in.

“It’s important to us that our supporters are part of that process of adjustment and change.

He concluded: "With that in mind, we have launched a survey to better understand our fans and their preferences and that feedback can help us to plan.”

The survey will run throughout August and from those who complete it, one person will win a York City merchandise prize worth £40.
