TADCASTER Albion, Pickering Town and Selby Town have all revealed some of their pre-season fixtures as they prepare for the new campaign.

The 2020/21 season in the Northern Premier League north/west division, which includes Tadcaster and Pickering, is set to begin on Saturday, September 19.

Selby’s new season meanwhile is scheduled to start from Saturday, September 5 in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League division one.

Ahead of the new campaign, and having been out of action since March, all three clubs currently have pre-season fixtures arranged.

Tadcaster have revealed that they will host Knaresborough Town on Tuesday, August 18 before entertaining National League North side Farsley Celtic at Ings Lane on Saturday, August 22 (1pm kick-off).

Pickering’s pre-season begins with a trip Selby Town on Tuesday, August 11.

The following week, on August 18, Pickering manager Steve Roberts will face former club Scarborough Athletic at Mill Lane.

Pickering then host Nostell Miners Welfare of the Northern Counties East League division one on August 22.

The fourth game sees them travel to NCEL premier division outfit Goole AFC on Tuesday, August 25.

Selby have announced six friendly games to be played in August, all of which will be played at home.

On Saturday, August 8, they will face Westerby & Willerby before the Pickering clash three days later.

The Robins will then host Goole AFC and Pontefract Collieries on Saturday, August 15 and August 18 respectively.

Thorpe United and Knaresborough Town will visit Fairfax Plant Hire Stadium on August 22 and Saturday, August 29 respectively.

Elsewhere, Selby have announced three new signings having brought in full back Wesley Naulls, striker Josh Street and midfielder Brad Freer. The club have also retained Danny Snaith for next season.

Meanwhile, Pickering have signed forwards Wayne Brooksby and Leon Osborne. Pickering boss Roberts said of Brooksby: "I am delighted to welcome Wayne to the club. Working with him at Scarborough I know the quality that he will bring."

On Osborne, Roberts said: "I'm pleased to announce that Leon has signed for Pickering. He's a great lad and more importantly a very good player ."
