YORK City will have be able to call upon loanee Adam Buxton for their Vanarama National League North play-off campaign after confirming their 24-man squad.

Buxton joined York on loan from Morecambe until the end of the season in early March and played twice for the club, impressing in his only start in City's 3-1 away win at Alfreton Town, the club's last match.

There had been question marks about whether or not he would feature in the play-offs but York have confirmed that he will be available for selection when they get underway next weekend.

Manager Steve Watson will also have Tom Allan, Harry Spratt, Josh King and Wes York at his disposal, all of whom were out on loan when the season was suspended amid the coronavirus pandemic.

However, forward Jake Wright will remain at his loan club Boston United.

He will, however, be is ineligible to play against York, should the two clubs meet in the final.

York's bid for a return to the National League begins on Saturday, July 25, when they face the winner of Saturday afternoon's elimination clash between Altrincham and Chester.

Should they progress through the semi-final, City would then face either Brackley Town, Gateshead or Boston United.

Both matches will take place at Bootham Crescent.
