THEY are the Bradford City trivia answers, those players who passed through Valley Parade so quickly that many fans have totally forgotten.

Inspired by a suggestion on social media, we look back over the next couple of days at some of the “blink and you missed it” recruits who have worn the claret and amber.

The only criteria is that they played no more than five games for the club.

BRAD JONES

Phil Parkinson’s capture of Brad Jones in the summer of 2015 looked a real coup.

But Liverpool’s back-up keeper for the previous five years would last only three months before cancelling his one-year contract.

Jones was brought in to compete with Ben Williams for the number one shirt but played only three times, conceding six goals.

Parkinson’s mind was made up after he let in a really soft goal against Colchester and he did not feature again.

Jones moved to Holland with NEC Nijmegen before moving on to Feyenoord where he won the Eredivisie and played in the Champions’ League.

AARON WILBRAHAM

Colin Todd signed Aaron Wilbraham on loan from MK Dons in March 2006 while Dean Windass was sidelined.

The week before he had played against the Bantams in goal – going between the sticks for the entire second half after keeper Matt Baker went off injured.

After playing his part in City’s defeat to the bottom club, his arrival then provided a much-needed boost with 10 points from his five appearances.

Wilbraham, who scored one City goal, was still going strong last season at 40 and played regularly for Rochdale in League One.

RAUL OLIVEIRA

Raúl Miguel Silva Fonseca Castanheira de Oliveira, to give him his full name, was one of Chris Kamara’s exotic signings when he went continental for City's first season back in the second tier after their play-off promotion at Wembley.

The Portuguese centre half was tipped to be the “new Alan Hansen” but played in just two games in March 1997 against Wolves and Portsmouth before returning home.

Oliveira represented seven clubs in his career but that brief spell at City was the only time he left his native country.

JOHN EGAN

The Irish central defender is currently flourishing in the Premier League with Sheffield United and scored a superb volley at Burnley on Sunday.

He joined City from Sunderland on loan in November 2012 but suffered a horrific injury in his fourth game, breaking his leg in two places after a fall against Plymouth.

WAYNE BULLIMORE

Midfielder Bullimore had risen through the ranks at Manchester United before City signed him from Scunthorpe in 1997.

He had been named in the Third Division team of the year with the Iron but his City career was over almost before it begun when Bullimore was stretchered off with a serious knee injury on his home debut.

He is now chief executive for Barnsley’s Reds in the Community.

CHRIS O’GRADY

Stuart McCall signed O’Grady at the start of 2009 on loan from Oldham – but the striker played just 38 minutes.

O’Grady had scored against City in both games for Rotherham the previous season but his Valley Parade stay proved short and not very sweet. He featured only twice from the bench in home draws with Shrewsbury and Accrington.

O’Grady, now 34, played for Bolton last season – his 17th club.

ROBERT ZABICA

Zabica had played 28 times in goal for Australia before joining the Bantams in 1997.

Signed from Perth Glory in £100,000, he played four games for City but was axed from the team after conceding four in a nightmare outing against Sunderland.

Zabica moved his family across to England to start a new life but the knee injury that had forced him to give up international football four years earlier flared up again and his contract was cancelled early.

DENNIS SEPP

Dutch winger Dennis Sepp failed to make the breakthrough at Valley Parade in 1997/1998 as injuries restricted him to just three substitute appearances. He only played an hour in total for the club before returning to Holland.
