YORK City Ladies have added to their coaching roster with the appointments of three new members of staff.

Middlesbrough Women - who play in the National League North (the third tier) - goalkeeper Rosie Todd has joined as the club’s new goalkeeping coach.

She coaches at York City FC Regional Talent Club as part of the England Talent Pathway set-up and trains a number of England youth players.

The ambitious coach, who recently completed her UEFA B license course, expressed her delight at the appointment.

Todd said: “York is where it all began for me and I want to give as much back as I can.

“It’s a fantastic place a great environment to be around.”

Glen Preston, who works at SkyBet Championship side Millwall has taken the position as tactical analyst.

He has also won Women’s National League titles at multiple clubs.

According to York, he “has a huge desire too outsmart the opponent.

“His tactical analysis, looking at new trends in the game and individual player development will be invaluable," they added.

On his new role, Preston said: “I have agreed to be involved in a consultancy basis as I believe the set-up here means the team has a real opportunity to achieve its ambitious targets."

York Regional Talent Club's Damian Harper is the new lead on physical performance.

Harper said of his appointment: "The set-up here at York is fantastic and the player have all the support they need to be the best they can be.”

The club have also the players that they have retained for the 2020/21 season.

They are as follows: Abi Webster, Alice Turner, Ellie Hall, Ellie Sutton, Georgina Watson, Jazz Whitwell, Laura Midgley, Louise Plant, Maddi Cannell, Nikki Brown and Sara Renfrew.
