YORK City Knights have announced the launch of a new weekly Knights Lottery,

The lottery aims to help grow rugby league in both York and North Yorkshire by supporting the club's Foundation to reach more people in the community.

Initially through an online ticketing system only, players can be in with a chance to win this weekly draw, paying just £2 a line. There’s a minimum jackpot of £500 which grows each week if not won, and additional guaranteed weekly prizes to be won.

The draw will take place each Wednesday, with the winners being directly contacted via email.

The first draw will be held next week, on Wednesday, May 6, with draws being held every week from then.

York City Knights general manager Neil Gulliver said: “This new lottery will provide an opportunity as not only vital source of income to help us sustain the work of the Foundation and Club across the area but has the potential to make a step change in the way we work.

“We know our army of fantastic fans will support this new scheme and I would ask them to spread the word to colleagues, families and friends to help us reach our potential.

"We have been working hard behind the scenes to set up a lottery system that fans can play online, and once established when we are through these challenging times, we will also be able to have agents selling tickets.

“Our Lottery partner ‘ClubForce’ are providing everything we needed with all profits going to the Foundation.”
