YORK City Knights have announced its first two members to its fundraising initiative, the 1868 Club.
Steve Sharp and Dave Darking made a recent donation to the Foundation’s work which saw them become members of the club.
Launched back in February, the 1868 Club supports the work being done by the York City Knights Foundation, which works across York and North Yorkshire.
York general manager Neil Gulliver hailed the support of Sharp and Darking.
He said: “We are incredibly grateful to both Steve and Dave who have been wonderfully supportive of the work of the Foundation for a number of years.
“This very generous donation, in what are difficult times for everyone, will help to ensure the Foundation can continue to grow the game for years to come.
“We would welcome any individuals, groups or businesses who would like to support the work of the Foundation to get in touch.”
