A RUNNER from York Knavesmire Harriers broke into the top 100 at the English National Cross Country Championships.
Emily Baines finished in 81st place - the first York-based runner to cross the line.
The Ladies team of Baines, Lucy Pinder ( 172nd), Clare Rowntree (288th) and Kate Osborn (352nd) were 29th out of 94 teams - with a field over 900 runners making them the second-placed North Yorkshire club after Harrogate Harriers.
In the Senior Men's event, Knavesmire were 76th of 115 clubs - the top North Yorkshire club.
Gareth Green was the leading YKH runner (629th), followed closely by Toby Hone (718th) in a field of over 1,700.
