BOOTHAM Crescent will play host to Leeds United Under-23s' Premier League Cup tie against Derby County U23s on Friday evening (7pm).

The Main Stand will be open for supporters at the ground. Admission costs £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.

Originally scheduled to be played at Tadcaster Albion's Global Stadium, the fixture has been moved to York City's ground following concerns over the quality of the pitch after recent poor weather.

The competition follows a similar format to the Champions League, with eight groups of four teams vying for qualification to the last-16 knockout round.

After four games, Leeds are bottom of Group 'H' having drawn two and lost two. Derby's two wins and one defeat from three outings put them second.

Former York striker Ryan Edmonson, pictured, will not feature for Leeds having just undergone knee surgery.

The Whites made it to the semi-finals in last season's competition before being beaten 3-0 by Newcastle United, who in turn lost 1-0 at Goodison Park to holders Everton.
