TADCASTER Albion will be aiming for a return to the BetVictor Northern Premier League north/west division play-offs when they host City of Liverpool on Saturday.

Tadcaster drew 2-2 away to Kendal Town last weekend, seeing them fall out of the top five places in the table, with Marske United moving ahead of them.

Albion are yet to register a home victory since the new year, with their last victory at Ings Lane coming back on November 23 against Droylsden.

The Brewers' opponents, City of Liverpool, currently sit in 15th place, with 10 points separating themselves and bottom side Pickering Town, who occupy the sole relegation spot.

By contrast, Tadcaster are sixth in the table, level on points with Marske and only one goal between the two sides.

Elsewhere, Pickering travel to 16th-placed Colne aiming to close the five-point gap that has opened up at bottom.

The Pikes languish at the foot of the table on 20 points. Widnes, Ossett United and Kendal Town are all level on 20 points, from 17th to 19th.

Steve Roberts' side suffered back-to-back defeats on Tuesday, when they were knocked out of the Integro League Challenge Cup by Morpeth Town, suffering a 3-1 defeat at Craik Park.

Striker Flynn McNaughton scored Pickering's only goal in the 71st minute - Thomas Alngohuro providing the assist - his third goal of 2020.

And, in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League division one, Selby Town can extend their 100 per cent winning run in 2020 to six matches, should they defeat Hall Road Rangers away from home.

Selby are third in the table, only five points adrift of leaders Winterton Rangers, who have played three more matches.
